About UsBlessed Hope Bible Baptist Church is a congregation who wants to love Jesus, let everyone around us know His love, and for Jesus to be sure of our love.
We are dedicated to the preaching and teaching of God's word as found in the King James Bible. We trust fully in Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit to lead in our spirited worship of God. Our music is found in the hymn book, sung as a joyful noise---convicting the sinner of their need for Jesus. |
Who We Are |
Blessed Hope Bible Baptist Church believes that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures to save all that call upon the name of Jesus. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved: Immediately and for all eternity!
Saved from a devil's hell and the wrath of God to a glorious home in Heaven with Jesus Christ! Salvation is just the beginning of your new life! In order to grow, God requires a Christian to get to know Him through the study of His word, church attendance, and prayer. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 |
Our History and God's Vision
|
Blessed Hope Bible Baptist Church's first service was in a "Greyhound bus" in the parking lot of Neosho County Community College in Chanute. Following that we met in the North Malcolm Center before moving to a tent next to the Old Grady 1-room schoolhouse east of Chanute. A providential downpour drove us into the Grady Schoolhouse, which the deed read was a "building of 'no value.'" By God's grace and provision, we were able to renovate it into beautiful House of Worship complete with outdoor "facilities." After 3 years and over 40 souls saved from a devil's hell (praise the Lord!), God moved us to our current home in the old Hutton Elementary School in Chanute (with indoor "facilities").
After moving us from a 1-room schoolhouse to a 42,000-square foot schoolhouse occupying 2 city blocks, we are excited about God's vision for our church and His property. To date, we have seen hundreds of souls saved and many lives rededicated to Jesus. In the near future, it is our desire to use the entire property for God's glory through youth camps, a Christian book store, and a family-friendly venue for Christian fellowship featuring special music, free meals, and miniature golf among others. |
